The #1 culprit of premature lines, big-huge visible pores and dry skin, is lack-of-exfoliation. Dead skin can do more damage than you think. Exfoliating my skin is the one thing that always works for me and is something that I recommend both men and women to add to their morning routine.
What Exfoliating can do for you:
1. Sometimes our skin peels, or may look or feel dry or somewhat scaly; especially in the Summer and Winter seasons. Exfoliating the skin will virtually stop your skin from peeling, or feeling dry.
2. Makeup, like foundation and powder settle into the skin and can magnify fine lines, pores and the appearance of dry skin as you wear it throughout the day. Exfoliating will make your makeup application much smoother.
3. Exfoliating minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines.
I could go on forever about why you should exfoliate, but before I start to ramble on, here are a few things that I think are a MUST for women and men over 25, that need to be in the exfoliant you use.
What your exfoliant should have in it if you’re over 25:
1: Your exfoliant should have Vitamin C in it. Vitamin C has anti-aging effects. It is often used to fade age spots, and is great for getting rid of the dead skin on the surface of the skin, which can make fine lines appear, way before their time.
2: Vitamin A is also something that your exfoliant should have. Vitamin also has anti-aging properties and cuts down on inflammation in the skin.
Skin PhD has a papaya extract exfoliator that incorporates different vitamins including C and A. These vitamins are able to reach below the surface of the skin to make your skin appear and feel younger, smoother, and more supple over time.
